Career fairs ... reinvented
About BVCF
The national Black Virtual Career Fair (BVCF) began in 2019 as a joint venture of two Black professional organizations: the African American Employee Network (AAEN), a communications network serving and supporting African American professionals in the area of information, events (education, networking) and career development; and Onyx Community Connection (Onyx), a Black professionals organization committed to amplifying Black excellence through regular business, social and community service events and communications. Together as BVCF, we leverage a syndicated network to reach qualified candidates nationwide.
What
Our mission is to provide career advancement and leadership opportunities for Black professionals. We do this through virtual career fairs that streamline the recruitment process and target a growing audience of talented Black professionals, initially gathered via offline business, cultural and tech events; and continuously growing via opt-in email marketing and social media. Piloted in the SF Bay Area, BVCF has quickly grown, now matching qualified candidates to employer job opportunities nationwide.
Why
There are actions each and every one of us can take to advance diversity at our organizations, no matter if you're a recruiter, hiring manager or a CEO. Black Virtual Career Fair's continuous aggregation of talented black professionals in combination with an interactive platform provides an effective diversity sourcing solution for high growth companies with positions to fill and a narrow pipeline to diverse networks.
